Welcome to American Legion Post 1985
Firestone, CO 80520
During World War II Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. organization was formed in the United States to provide support for mothers who had sons and or daughters in active service in the war. The name came from the custom of families of servicemen hanging a banner called a "Service Flag" in a window of their homes. The service flag had a star for each family member in the military. Living servicemen were represented by a Blue star and those who had lost their lives were represented by a Gold star.

The Tri-Town American Legion Post #1985 would like to provide a Service Flag to proudly display in the front window of your family home. If your family has a son, daughter, father, mother currently serving in the military, email us at INFO@AMERICANLEGION1985.ORG and Subject it "Service Flag Request". Please include NAME, ADDRESS, CONTACT NUMBER, and number of current member(s) serving and or have given their life during service in the military. We will get your family a SERVICE FLAG as soon as possible. If you are interested in more information about Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. visit their web site www.bluestarmothers.org.
